Our first two features, events shop and ask community targets two user groups:

1. Community Members who are working on achieving an academic or career goal through attending online workshops and networking events where their questions can be answered by expertise.
   1. Those highly interested in getting support to achieve their academic or career goals in a year or less. They are motivated to attend events, ask questions and collaborate with others.
2. Expert Members or organisations or communities who are interested in providing online development opportunities and answering their community’s questions in one centralised place.
   1. Those highly interested in giving back to their community and achieving tangible social impact in supporting individuals to achieve their academic or career goals.

You will initially work on our Engine squad. The Engine squad's role is to define, guide, facilitate, monitor, and improve the planning process and monitor progress for all projects and services at Global Share.

You will be responsible for writing clean and high-quality code, web services, and APIs used by front-end developers and mobile application developers in compliance with goals and project requirements.

You will work on a variety of tasks, including:

• Write supporting code for Web applications, Mobile Apps, or Websites.
• Demonstrate proper use of data structures, and algorithms for traversing them, and optimizing their use.
• Collaborate with product and design stakeholders.
• Develop appropriate microservice architecture and build REST APIs using best practices.
• Testing and evaluating existing code.
• Collaborate, develop, and deliver innovative solutions to our business teams, including new services and features in modern apps.
• Drive results from collaboration, prototyping, test-driven CI, and pull request reviews (ticket tracking, acceptance testing, etc) by producing high-quality code and continuing to learn to improve the system.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with backend development.
• Creativity, a high level of independence.
• Willingness to get familiar with new technologies.
• Understanding of MVC architectural pattern.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
